I know it’s not fair to pick favorites, but my other publishing clients will forgive me for saying that this book is especially dear to me. The reasons are numerous: The author is a close friend, the subject of children with heart disease is especially moving, the publisher, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory Press — home of Nobel laureate and discoverer of DNA, James Watson — gave us absolute free reign, the printers did a beautiful job, and I not only got to design it, I edited as well.
